How does IPL work?

For permanent hair reduction

IPL offers a safe, non-invasive solution to unwanted hair on the body, resulting in up to a 90% permanent reduction in hair growth almost anywhere on the body. Highly controlled flashes of light are selectively absorbed by hair-filled follicles lying below the surface of the skin. The absorbed light heats the hair, which damages or destroys the regrowth potential of the follicle without damaging the surrounding tissue. Any hair with at least some pigment in it (black or brown) can be treated effectively. In most instances, between 4-8 treatments may be required.  We can devise a program for you during your consultation.

For skin rejuvenation

Over time, ageing, trauma, sun exposure and certain lifestyle factors cause our skin to appear older. These tell tale signs are normally represented by sun damage and broken capillaries on the face. The face has an extensive network of veins and tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These capillaries (vascular lesions) can break down as we age, appearing as red streaks or blotches on the face. IPL therapy can eliminate damaged veins and capillaries by removing virtually all traces of these unsightly blemishes.

Highly controlled flashes of light are selectively absorbed by the target (either red for vascular lesions or brown for sun damage or pigmentation) lying below the surface of the skin. The absorbed light heats the target, fragmenting it without damaging the surrounding tissue. The skin surface is left smooth and rejuvenated. In most instances, 3-4 treatments will be required to clear the skin, depending on the severity of each individual condition.

What is Chiral Technology?

Chiral Technology is based on the 1848 discovery by Louis Pasteur that all molecules have 2 identical sides or shapes.

Scientific research has also confirmed that although both sides of a molecule may appear identical, they do not always feature the same properties or benefits. In contrast, it has also been firmly established that the human body is selective about which side of a particular molecule shape is able to form a perfect bond with the skin’s cells (or cell receptors).

 When you use only the ‘effective’ side of an ingredient molecule you are guaranteed that each ingredient has the greatest targeted benefits possible.
